Debbie Thomas Super Facialist Review
On Friday I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Stacey Holverson, expert level therapist and clinic supervisor at the Debbie Thomas’s Clinic in the heart of west London.
Skincare has been Debbie Thomas’ life and passion for over 15 years. It's taken her from Harley Street to Hollywood, and along the way she has become one of the most respected skin specialists working in the UK today. Debbie has mastered traditional treatment and has become an expert in the award winning HydraFacial, Photo Dynamic Light Therapy, Skin Peels and all the latest laser therapies. The Debbie Thomas Clinic recently opened up on Kings Road and when you first walk in you know you have entered a place of utter trust and tranquility. The staff have incredible skin and welcoming smiles, the clinic has clean white walls and a few splashes of mahogany wood - it just oozes luxury.
I met with Stacey for a consultation to discover my skin care needs. Stacey assessed my skin and talked me through a plan to target my skin distresses. As you already know, I suffer with sensitive skin with the occasional Milia that creates an uneven tone and blotchy redness. Stacey was very supportive and once she told me all the facts behind my skin, it gave a feeling of confidence.
At Debbie’s clinic they evaluate your skin then recommend a treatment that’s best for you. If they get into the treatment and the skin is reacting differently they change it up so the end result is what is best for you. Every skin type is different and they work towards achieving healthy, happy skin at the end of it.
Stacey started off by gently cleansing my skin and using a light peel to lift up the dead skin cells and unclogs blocked pores. This prepared my skin for the HydraFacial - providing cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration, including Vortex-Fusion of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The HydraFacial is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that delivers instant results with no discomfort or downtime. It swishes water into the pores and sucks it back out, leaving your skin feeling and looking immediately rested and revived. Stacey then worked on extracting any blemishes and that stubborn ol’ Milia. We then moved on to a patch test with the laser – this treatment is called: DNA Essential Skin Treatment. Known and loved by the celebs this wondrous and bespoke treatment heals, cleanses and balances the skin. It's suitable for all skin types but particularly helpful at combating fine lines, dullness, open pores, uneven skin, mild rosacea and mild acne.
There is no pain at all and it’s actually very relaxing. The warm, heated sensation deeply cleanses, exfoliates, hydrates, plumps and nourishes all at the same time. By the end of the treatment you will not just feel, but will also see the difference in your complexion. Your skin will look brighter, healthier and more even than you thought was possible. Lastly Stacey used a combination of anti-inflammatory SM Gel Peel and SkinCeuticals Vitamin C Firming Masque to reduces any redness or sensitivity. A special Phyto Corrective Gel also acts to hydrate the skin, without leaving it oily, while its anti-bacterial/antiseptic properties help heal and calm irritated skin. As well as the blend of SkinCeuticals products, Stacey also included this treatment with the use of healing red light and soothing cold therapies. The red light therapy which is approved by NASA's space program for promoting skin healing and human tissue growth, this therapy is a must for the repair of damaged skin cells and for stimulating the production of collagen. This is a skin strengthening treatment with calming properties and the blue light attacks the P. acne's bacteria, which causes acne, helping to reduce breakouts and calm the skin.
Overall the facial at Debbie Thomas with Stacey was fantastic. The entire experience was extremely knowledgeable and I feel like I know a lot more about how my skin works, what not to do and what to do more of. I now feel like I have my confidence back as my skin is gleaming and smooth. The Milia has packed up and left and now all I need to do is maintain a healthy skin routine.
