What's It Like Flying with Air Transat?

For some reason, I felt a little nervous getting on a plane to Canada. Maybe because it’s been a few years since travel by plane or maybe because I worry a little bit too much, either way all anxieties were taken away upon boarding with the delightful airline – Air Transat. The affordable, luxurious craft offers roomy seats (even in economy), a fresh and clean environment and welcoming, friendly staff. The exterior of the plane is quite breath taking, its large capsule-like shell is crisp white with splashes of cool blue, delivering the feeling ‘I’ll be looked after’ as you enter. It’s spacious and its safe; the 8hr journey was well and truly faultless.

As I walk on to the expansive cabin, staff welcomed me and my family with warm smiles and happy to help expressions. Once we settled in and sunk into our sea blue, snug and comfy seats, we had small tablet like screens in the seat rest before us, the mini screen presented films, TV shows, games, a route map and updates throughout the flight. The airbus was so advanced in technology, I needn’t bought along my own movies as the selection was so up-to-date and easy to use.

With the luxury of having Option Plus, I received the benefit of seat selection, priority check-in, extra 10kg baggage allowance, priority boarding, priority baggage handling, a blanket with inflatable pillow and eye mask and a succulent supply of Coconut water during the flight! Not to mention, the impeccable bottle of Prosecco bought over to me once taken off! All of this for around £50 added to your flight!

Overall the flight exceeded my expectations and even without the priority boarding it’s a great airline to fly with. It has comfort, a sense of calmness and an ambience that settles you for an enjoyable flight. The service was brilliant and the whole experience was immaculate from the way out there to the way back!
